Our Costruction Guarantee

Our portable buildings are the highest quality structures in the business. This is our guarantee regarding the quality construction of our wooden portable buildings, manufactured by United Portable Buildings:

Flooring

1) All transportation runners attached to the bottom of the building are 4x6 treated runners. The top edge of the runners has notches 1" deep for placement of the floor joists. This allows the floor joists to sit down into the runners as opposed to sitting on top of the runners and being toe-nailed in.

2) Floor joists are 2x6 treated joists and are fastened to the runners with 3" galvanized nails. Floor joists are spaced either 12" or 16" on-center.

3) All flooring is a 5/8" pro-shed tongue and groove flooring made by LP Crop and has a 10-year limited warranty against termite damage or fungal decay. The flooring is fastened to the joists with 2" nails. (All Garages come standard with 3/4 LP Legacy Flooring)

Walls

1) Premium-grade 2x4s are used for wall construction. All studs are spaced 16" on-center. Nails used for wall framing are 3" framing nails.

2) The walls are double-plated on top. The top portion of the double top plate is a 2x8 and is also used to create the overhangs on the side walls.

3) All exterior siding is an LP Smart Panel siding, made by the LP Corps, and is fastened to the walls with 2" nails. This siding comes with a 50-year limited warranty against termites and fungal decay.

Roofs

1) On buildings 8', 10', 12' in width, all trusses are made from 2x4s and fastened together with zinc-plated truss plates. On anything that is 14' or 16' wide, the trusses will be constructed with a 2x6 top cord on the truss and also fastened together with the zinc-plated truss plates. The trusses are spaced 24" on-center.

2) A 7/16" OSB is fastened to the trusses with 2" nails.

3) A roof covering, such as shingles or metal, is fastened to the OSB. The shingles are a 30-year architectural shingle, and the metal is a lifetime warranty, 29-guage metal. 

Exterior Coatings

1) On all painted buildings, the nail holes and all the trims are caulked or siliconed and than painted with a high-quality exterior paint. The paint is projected to last 10-15 years.

2) Regarding all the urethane-stained buildings, all the window and door trims are siliconed with a superior clear silicone, and then the urethane stain is applied. The urethane stanin was designed for applications to LP Smart Panel siding and trim and hass a projected life expectancy of 15-20.

Rent to Own with NO Credit Check

Our Rent-to-Own program is quickly becoming our most popular form of getting a storage building. Our program requires only your first month's rent for buildingd $14,999 and under, and your first month's rent and a 5% deposit if your building is $15,000 or more. No Credit Check is required for our Rent-to-Own customers. Early pay-off is available. Everyone is approved, and we make it easy for our customers. We offer 36, 48, and 60* month terms. A 60-month term requires the buildings to be $5,500 or more.
